“I have been taking Svaroopa® yoga classes for about seven months.  I have a history of cancer and one of my medications causes severe joint pain in the hips.  I had been told by my physicians that nothing can help this pain other than strong medications.  Exploring other options I learned that yoga may help with arthritis type pain.  I went to a number of types of beginning yoga classes, but was surprised how difficult some of the classes were for me, over 60 years old.  However, I found Lisha and her Svaroopa® yoga class, and I cannot believe how much difference her classes have made in my comfort level.  If I miss a weekly class, I begin to feel the arthritis in my hips again, but for the last 4 months I have had no hip pain.  The foot neuropathy caused by chemotherapy is also improving, but more slowly.
